The railway industry is implementing a ticket price reduction program of up to 40% on many key routes in September 2026, applied to both seats and sleeper berths to stimulate domestic tourism.
According to the promotion program, the Hanoi - Da Nang route applies many discounts depending on the train brand. Trains SE1, SE5, SE7, SE9 reduce 20% of sleeper berth ticket prices and 15% of seat ticket prices. For trains SE1 and SE19, the discounts are 15% for sleeper berths and 10% for seats respectively.
On the Da Nang - Hanoi direction, train codes SE2, SE4, SE6, SE8, SE10 and SE20 reduce 30% of sleeper ticket prices and 15% of seat ticket prices.
Notably, passengers traveling on the Da Nang - Dieu Tri route and vice versa are entitled to a discount of up to 40% on sleeper berth tickets and 15% on seat tickets. This preferential rate applies to all train codes.
For the Saigon - Nha Trang route and vice versa, the railway industry reduces ticket prices by 20% for all types of seats and train codes. Trips from Saigon to Nha Trang, Tuy Hoa, Dieu Tri and vice versa are reduced by 10% for all types of seats and train codes.
In the Central region, the Hanoi - Vinh - Hanoi section is also reduced by 20% of ticket prices for all types of seats on trains NA1 and NA2.
In addition to route-by-route incentives, the railway industry applies a price reduction policy for passengers buying round-trip tickets.
Accordingly, passengers who buy tickets early before the train departs from 1-19 days are entitled to a 20% discount on the return ticket price. In case of booking tickets 20 days or more in advance, the discount for the return trip is up to 30%.
Passengers traveling in groups are also subject to a price reduction policy according to the regulations of the railway industry.
The promotion program is implemented until the end of September 2026, creating more travel options with reasonable costs for passengers during the tourist season.
The railway industry recommends that passengers actively book tickets early to choose suitable trains and seats. Tickets are sold through the official website of the railway industry, e-wallet applications and at stations.
