On March 5, at the international press conference on the 2026 National Tourism Year, representatives of the leaders of Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee informed about the contents and plans for organizing tourism activities, cultural and sports events, sightseeing, and promotion at tourist destinations in the province.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh Lich - Vice Chairwoman of Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee, said that in the past time, Gia Lai province has received great attention and support from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs; the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and press agencies in communication activities. Thereby, contributing to introducing and promoting the image, people, history, and culture of this land.

After the merger, Gia Lai is the second largest province in the country, with majestic natural landscapes of mountains and forests with the charm of the sea and islands and possessing outstanding ecological and cultural values such as: Bien Ho, Chu Dang Ya volcano, Kon Ka Kinh National Park (ASEAN Heritage Park), and the Central Highlands Gong Cultural Space.
At the same time, the province has a system of Cham Pa cultural relics, Bai Choi Art listed by UNESCO in 2017, Hat Boi, Binh Dinh traditional martial arts and a 134 km long coastline with famous scenic spots such as: Quy Nhon Bay, Ky Co, Eo Gio, Cu Lao Xanh, Thi Nai Lagoon...
These values create a comprehensive, diverse and rare tourism ecosystem: sea - mountains - culture - history - science - cuisine - festivals, both complementing and expanding the experience space of tourists. These are great potentials with unique characteristics to develop tourism," emphasized the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.
With the above special advantages, Gia Lai province has been and is prioritizing focusing on building a system of unique tourism products associated with natural resources, cultural identity, rich cuisine and friendly people; linking tourism development with heritage conservation and environmental protection.

The province identifies the period 2026 - 2030, tourism is one of the five pillars of economic development of the province. The goal by 2030 is to welcome 18.5 million visitors/year, including more than 1 million international visitors.
The activities of the National Tourism Year - Gia Lai 2026 will contribute to promoting the development of domestic and international tourist markets, strengthening promotion and advertising, affirming the Vietnamese tourism brand as a prominent destination in the world and building Gia Lai province into one of the major tourist centers of the region.
The 2026 National Tourism Year is expected to have 244 events, including: 18 events organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism; 117 events organized by 22 provinces/cities nationwide in coordination; 109 events implemented by Gia Lai province. The main activities and events are concentrated in Gia Lai province (Quy Nhon, Pleiku and key communes and wards for tourism development).
The Logo of the National Tourism Year of Gia Lai province is a symbol of the harmonious intersection between the highlands and the sea after Gia Lai and Binh Dinh merged. The image of the mountains represents the Central Highlands space, in which the largest mountain with a concave crater is stylized by Chu Dang Ya volcano.
