According to representatives of the Department of Tourism and the Hue Monuments Conservation Center, the opening program of the National Tourism Year - Hue 2025 is expected to be held on the evening of March 25 on the banks of the Huong River, opposite Quoc Hoc Hue High School for the Gifted.
The performing arts program combined with water screen, visual mapping, LED floor, fire effects, hot air balloons, paragliding, heavy smoke, sound and lighting arrangement promises to be a lively and attractive cultural party. The total duration of the program is from 90 to 100 minutes.
The Opening Program will screen to introduce the quintessence of 6 Vietnamese cultural regions, including Hue culture, which hosts the event. The opening ceremony of the National Tourism Year - Hue 2025 coincides with the 50th Anniversary of Hue Liberation and the First Year of Hue - a centrally-governed city.
Mr. Nguyen Thanh Binh - Permanent Vice Chairman of Hue City People's Committee said that Hue has prepared, calculated and built the scenarios very carefully. The opening program script was carefully constructed, trying to express the soul of Hue culture.
Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Ho An Phong said that the National Tourism Year - Hue 2025 is one of the largest tourism events, lasting throughout the year, with a national scale and scope.
In particular, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism directs the organization, orientation, communication organization and organization of a number of national and international activities; Hue city directs the organization; Departments, ministries, branches and provinces and cities across the country coordinate, support, and have response activities.
The festival is bustling
The National Tourism Year - Hue 2025 with the theme "Hue - Ancient Capital, New Opportunities" will have activities and events focusing on 4 main groups of programs: Spring Festival "Spring of the Ancient Capital" (January - 3); Autumn Festival "Shining in the City" (April - June); Autumn Festival "Hue in Autumn" (July - September); Winter Festival "Hue Winter" (October - 12); there will be more than 170 national and provincial events.
Of which, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and central agencies will organize 8 national activities; Hue City will host 62 activities (including 46 activities of the National Tourism Year program and 16 activities within the framework of Hue Festival 2025); provinces and centrally run cities will organize 102 activities in response to the National Tourism Year - Hue 2025.
With a series of activities and events held during the National Tourism Year and Hue Festival in 2025, Hue is expected to attract about 4.8 - 5 million tourists, of which international visitors account for about 38 - 40% of total visitors; total tourism revenue reaches about 10,800 - 11,200 billion VND.
According to Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Ho An Phong, the National Tourism Year - Hue 2025 is very meaningful, creating many tourism promotion values for Hue, an opportunity to communicate, promote the image of Hue and increase the number of visitors, creating momentum for strong tourism development. At the end of the National Tourism Year, Hue must have new tourism products, new routes, and new customer markets.
