Hanoi adjusts the operating hours of pedestrian streets during the April 30 - May 1 holiday

Hoan Kiem Ward People's Committee has just issued a Notice on changing the operating time frame of pedestrian street spaces in the area during the April 30 - May 1 holiday.

According to Hoan Kiem Ward People's Committee, the adjustment aims to create a lively atmosphere to celebrate the anniversary of the Liberation of the South, national reunification (April 30) and International Labor Day (May 1), and at the same time meet the entertainment needs of people and tourists during the long holiday.

Accordingly, the pedestrian street space in Hoan Kiem Lake area and surrounding areas will operate continuously from 7:00 AM on April 30 to 24:00 AM on May 3.

The pedestrian space of the Old Quarter still maintains its usual operating schedule on weekend evenings, including May 1 (Friday), May 2 (Saturday) and May 3 (Sunday).

Hoan Kiem Ward People's Committee requests relevant units and Dong Xuan Joint Stock Company to proactively coordinate in implementing tasks, ensuring security and order, urban order, traffic safety, environmental sanitation, urban aesthetics; and at the same time strengthen fire prevention and fighting measures, ensuring safety for people and tourists throughout the operation period.
