This is an annual tourism stimulus activity, aiming to promote the image of the capital with the message "Hanoi - come to love", the destination "Safe - Friendly - Quality - Attractive".
In addition to attracting tourists, the event also honors and introduces cultural heritage, traditional beauty and unique culinary quintessence of Hanoi. At the same time, the festival contributes to celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025) and in response to the National Tourism Year 2025.
The festival is aimed at honoring the values of world and national cultural heritage; contribute to preserving, promoting and attracting tourists, affirming the Hanoi brand is a cultural destination in the region and the world. The city was voted by the TripAdvisor platform on the title: "Top 2/25 the world's leading cultural destination in 2025", "Top 7/25 world top destinations in 2025", "Top 14/25 most favorite destinations of all time" and "Asia's leading tourist destination in Asia in 2024".
The Hanoi Tourism gift Festival 2025 will recreate and introduce world cultural heritages, combined with traditional craft village products to develop sustainable tourism, so that each gift is not only an item but also a typical mark of the Capital.
The festival is also an opportunity to promote destinations, products, services, and tourism gifts with Hanoi and Vietnamese brands to domestic and foreign tourists; promote tourism promotion, and enhance connectivity between tourism and culture.
The Organizing Committee expects that through the program will develop cultural and historical tourism routes, connect the monument associated with conservation, honor and promote the unique values of Thang Long cultural heritage, the West Lake area, especially the old town, the old town, Hoan Kiem Lake area and the vicinity.
The festival also focuses on promoting traditional craft villages and occupations through experiential activities such as Bat Trang pottery, Van Phuc silk, Phu Vinh rattan and bamboo, Ha Thai lacquer, Ngu Xa bronze casting, Lang Vong green rice... Activities within the framework of the festival will be organized on a large scale, creatively, uniquely, effectively mobilizing social resources.
Hanoi is currently the leading cultural and historical destination in the country, with 5,922 ranked relics (including 1 world cultural heritage, 21 relics and special national relic clusters), 1,793 intangible cultural heritages and 1,350 craft villages and traditional craft villages, of which 331 craft villages are recognized by the Hanoi People's Committee.
