The conference took place on the afternoon of November 22 with the participation of leaders of Hai Phong City, leaders of the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism, Vietnam Tourism Association, nearly 1,000 delegates, including 100 international travel agencies and 450 domestic enterprises.
Speaking at the Conference, Mr. Nguyen Minh Hung, Vice Chairman of Hai Phong City People's Committee, said that after merging with Hai Duong province, Hai Phong City has an unprecedentedly large scale of development. The city is currently the center of the Northern Coast region and a strategic gateway to the sea of the North, playing an important role in the marine economy and national defense and security.

In terms of economy, in the first 10 months of 2025, the growth rate is expected to reach 11.6%, services will increase by 9.9%. Tourism continues to be a bright spot with 12.8 million visitors, including nearly 1 million international visitors, an increase of about 10%. The city also owns a synchronous transport infrastructure system of five types including sea, river, road, rail and air.
The city currently has nearly 4,000 historical and cultural relics, two world heritages, many special national heritages and more than 1,200 festivals taking place all year round, along with hundreds of craft villages and unique culinary quintessence. This is an important foundation to create a diverse tourism ecosystem, with a depth ranging from sea, islands, resorts, MICE, golf to culture - spirituality, craft villages, agriculture and cuisine, said the Vice Chairman of Hai Phong City People's Committee.
Vice Chairman Nguyen Minh Hung said that the city is committed to accompanying ministries, branches, associations and businesses to build Hai Phong into a green, safe, attractive and friendly destination.

According to Chairman of Hai Phong Tourism Association Mai Xuan Thang: With the theme "Hai Phong - 4 seasons tourism destination", the Conference aims to enhance the image of Hai Phong tourism, strengthen regional linkages, attract investment in infrastructure and high-end products, promote green transformation, digital transformation and build a strong cooperation mechanism between businesses - associations - localities. These are important pillars for Hai Phong to become a leading tourism center in the North in the coming time.
Ms. Nguyen Hoa Mai, Deputy Director General of the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism, highly appreciated Hai Phong's efforts as a bright spot on the national tourism map with 12.8 million visitors in the first 10 months of 2025.
Ms. Hoa Mai suggested that Hai Phong city continue to promote digital transformation and green transformation, considering this the key to international integration - the core goal that the Vietnamese tourism industry is aiming for.

In recent times, Hai Phong City has made a strong impression by investing heavily in infrastructure, improving service quality, expanding international cooperation and organizing many large-scale cultural tourism events, including the Con Son - Kiep Bac Autumn Festival 2025 after the Yen Tu - Vinh Nghiem - Con Son - Kiep Bac heritage cluster was recognized by UNESCO as a World Cultural Heritage.
Many new tours have been formed such as "A trip - Five World Heritage Destinations", the journey "Following the footsteps of the three groups of Truc Lam", "Explore the Heritage of Con Son - Kiep Bac", or the tour "Hai Phong - Linh Ha Trang Trinh". The city also actively implements programs to connect aviation - transportation - tourism, training to improve human resource quality, develop foodtour products and link the exploitation of destinations in heritage areas.
The Conference also included a signing ceremony for strategic cooperation between the Hai Phong Tourism Association and major economic groups and an alliance of international travel agencies. The signed documents include a commitment to invest in smart tourism infrastructure, high-end resort product chains... and bringing international visitors to Hai Phong.
