By removing the requirement to test for COVID-19 after admission, South Korea also does not require tourists to declare the number of COVID-19 vaccines when filling in entry information. The government recommends that tourists with symptoms of COVID-19 should go to community health centers near their accommodation for testing within 3 days of entry.
Eliminating the requirement for PCR testing after entry is a policy to ease epidemic control and remove barriers to promote a stronger recovery of the tourism industry. With this new policy, the journey to Korea for foreign tourists will be simpler and more economical.
In the first 8 months of 2022, the number of Vietnamese tourists to Korea reached more than 80,000. With this new policy, we are looking forward to a stronger and more explosive recovery of the Vietnamese market in particular and the world in general for Korean tourism, especially in the coming fall, said Mr. Lee Jae Hoon Chief Representative of the Korea Tourism Administration in Vietnam.
To facilitate the declaration of information on the Q-code system for Vietnamese tourists, from August 22, Korea has also deployed a Vietnamese version on this information registration page. Visitors can go to the Q-Code system and choose Vietnamese to easily declare at https://cov19ent.kdca.go.kr.
