Korea - Vietnam tourism breaks through in 2024
In 2024, tourism cooperation between Vietnam and Korea recorded impressive figures. The number of Korean visitors to Vietnam is about 4.6 million, making it the leading country among international visitors to Vietnam.
On the other hand, Vietnam continues to affirm its position as one of the key markets for Korean tourism, with more than 511,000 visitors to Korea in 2024, an increase of 21.7% compared to 2023 and a recovery of 92.4% compared to 2019 (before the COVID-19 pandemic).

The number of Vietnamese visitors to Korea ranks second in Southeast Asia after the Philippines (more than 515,000 visitors). And for the first time, the number of two-way visitors exchanged between the two countries has exceeded 5 million, a new milestone in bilateral tourism cooperation.
In 2024, the Korea Tourism Organization (KTO) also organized a series of large-scale tourism promotion events such as: Korea Travel Festa 2024; MICE Roadshow 2024 Workshop in Da Nang, Ho Chi Minh City...
Many tourism stimulus programs in 2025
According to KTO representative in Vietnam, in the first 6 months of 2025, the special support campaign "Spring in Korea, Fragrance of Sunflower" for more than 20 travel companies in Vietnam will be implemented with 3 main goals.
The first is to develop diverse tourism products according to the K-Culture theme. Support travel agencies to build tours to experience Korean culture from music, cinema, performing arts to cuisine and beauty.
Expanding tourist routes: Create favorable conditions for Vietnamese tourists to go directly to local cities in Korea, explore new destinations, especially Busan - the second largest city in Korea, Gyeongju - the former capital and the host of the 2025 APEC Summit.
Promote high-end tourism: Support tourism companies to develop high-quality high-end Korean travel experience products.
Within the framework of the campaign, KTO will give more than 2,000 special gifts to Vietnamese tourists to Korea through Korean tourism products of tourism units participating in the campaign, to increase positive experiences and promote tourism demand.
In addition, KTO also offers gift packages and partial support for tour costs, with direct discounts for tourists experiencing high-end tourism products in Korea.

With useful support, KTO hopes that Vietnamese tourists will experience Korea through more attractive tourism products, meeting the increasing needs of tourists.
In the first 6 months of 2025, KTO will continue to focus on promoting other promotional activities such as participating in the VITM 2025 International Tourism Fair in Hanoi with many interesting experiences; Vietnam - Korea cultural festivals in coordination with Korean agencies in Vietnam.
In particular, in the first 6 months of 2025, tourists coming to Korea will also have the opportunity to experience many unique Korean spring flower festivals, helping tourists feel more deeply the traditional and modern culture of the land of kimchi.
Some promising festivals that attract tourists include: Korea's largest Jinhae Gunhangje Cherry Blossom Festival in Gyeongsangnam-do; Yeongdeungpo Yeouido Spring Flower Festival in Seoul; Busan Cherry Blossom Festival, or the Beetroot and Cherry Blossom Festival on Jeju Island...

Not only can visitors immerse themselves in the brilliant flower sky, they can also participate in interesting activities such as cultural and traditional experiences, art performances, admire unique fireworks or explore attractive exhibitions.
