As of the end of May 2025, South Korea has welcomed 224,000 tourists from Vietnam, an increase of 11% over the same period in 2024. This is a positive sign for Korean tourism in the Vietnamese market in the context of many economic and geopolitical fluctuations in the world.
On this strong growth momentum, KTO in Vietnam continues to implement many tourism promotion and advertising activities in the second half of 2025.

In the first half of 2025, KTO in Vietnam has implemented many large-scale and effective tourism promotion programs. Notable is the campaign "Spring and Summer Visit to Korea, Bustling Flowers in the Sun", in collaboration with 20 leading travel companies in Vietnam to promote unique Korean Spring - Summer tourism products, with thousands of gifts for Vietnamese tourists and supporting the cost of Korean travel experience up to 50,000won/tourist (about 900,000 VND).
KTO in Vietnam also actively participates in domestic events, bringing a series of rich experiences that attract a large number of visitors.

In parallel with traditional promotional activities, KTO in Vietnam also focuses on promoting online communication through the "Be the Kreator" program.
The program has selected and connected with 20 young Vietnamese content creators living and studying in Korea, aiming to spread the image of Korea through a new, creative and approachable perspective.
Through popular social networking platforms such as Facebook and TikTok, the program hopes to bring the image of Korean tourism closer to Vietnamese tourists, especially young, dynamic tourists who love cultural experiences.
In the second half of 2025, KTO in Vietnam will continue to enhance the presence and influence of Korean tourism in Vietnam through a series of large-scale events. Notably, the Korean Tourism Festival - Korea Travel Festa 2025, a B2C event scheduled to be held in Ho Chi Minh City with a scale of reaching about 70,000 Vietnamese tourists who love to travel, brings many attractive cultural and entertainment exchange activities such as cultural experiences, Korean travel, performances by famous Kpop artists and especially exchange activities with players of the Korean Legendary Alliance Championship (LCK).
KTO in Vietnam will also continue to participate in the ITE International Tourism Fair in Ho Chi Minh City to expand its cooperation network with partners in the Southern region. At the same time, the annual event Korea Travel Award 2025 will also be held to honor outstanding partners, contributing to promoting long-term strategic relationships in the tourism sector between the two countries.
Especially in the second half of 2025, KTO in Vietnam will focus on promoting diverse Korean transit tour products for Vietnamese tourists flying from Vietnam to the US, Europe or other countries with transit routes in Korea.

With visa exemption policies for transit tourists, free programs such as city tours around Seoul, or paid products with many culinary, cultural and shopping options, transit tours are an attractive choice for travelers who want to take advantage of their transit time to explore part of Korea on their trip.
Through a series of diverse promotional activities, combined with both direct and online forms, the Korea Tourism Organization (KTO) is actively accompanying Vietnamese tourism companies in developing specialized tourism products such as K-Culture tours, Premium tours, Sports tours, as well as supporting charter groups to Korea.
We hope to bring Vietnamese tourists new, unique and Korean-style experiences. It is expected that in 2025, Korea will continue to welcome more than 500,000 visitors from Vietnam and maintain its achievements to be one of the Southeast Asian markets with the highest number of visitors to Korea Ms. Park Eun Jung, Chief Representative of the Korean Tourism Administration in Vietnam shared.
