At Hung Vuong Square, Bac Lieu ward, Ca Mau province, the 1st Heritage Culture Festival and Airship Festival - 2026 takes place.
Thousands of people and tourists flocked to the square to admire the performance of 34 hot air balloons.
On the background of vibrant music, fires simultaneously flared up, creating a brilliant space, attracting a large number of people to record impressive moments.
The fire dragon performance of pilots and technicians opened the night. After that, 34 giant hot air balloons successively blew fire, creating a shimmering scene at Hung Vuong Square.
Mr. Nguyen Minh Toan, in Phong Thanh commune, said that the flower lantern night brought a new and impressive space. The organization and simultaneous operation of hot air balloons created a large-scale program, attracting a large number of people and tourists.
Joining the crowd in the square, Ms. Le Thi Nga, in Vinh Phuoc commune, expressed her excitement at the bustling atmosphere of the festival. She hopes that the locality will continue to organize more large-scale cultural and tourism events so that people have more opportunities to experience.
Mr. Nguyen Manh Lieu, in Gia Rai ward, said that the flower lantern night left many impressions, especially when 34 hot air balloons shone brightly in the space of the square.
The atmosphere of the festival night became even more exciting with the appearance of artists and cheerleaders. Modern music attracted a large number of young people to blend into the space of light and music.
According to the Organizing Committee, 34 hot air balloons at the festival symbolize 34 provinces and cities across the country. On the hot air balloons, the names of 64 communes and wards of Ca Mau province are also decorated.
The Ca Mau Hot Air Balloon Festival 2026 takes place from August 28 to September 2 with the theme "Ca Mau! Flying with the country into a new era". This is the first time Ca Mau has organized a large-scale hot air balloon festival, creating more cultural and tourism products to serve people and tourists during National Day September 2.
