Thousands of Hai Duong people flock to Tranh Temple on the 5th day of Tet

Hai Duong - On February 2 (the 5th day of Tet), crowds of people came to Tranh Temple (Ninh Giang District) to pray for a lucky new year.

Tranh Temple, also known as Tuan Tranh Temple in Tranh Xuyen village, Dong Tam commune (Ninh Giang district, Hai Duong province) is a national historical and cultural relic worshiping the water god De Ngu Tuan Tranh (the 5th prince of the Water King), later conferred the title of Tranh Giang Dai Vuong Hoang Hop Ton Than.

According to the Tranh Temple Management Board, from January 28 to 31 (December 29 to the afternoon of the 3rd day of Tet), more than 10,000 visitors from inside and outside the province came to worship and pray for peace at Tranh Temple, an increase of 20% compared to the 2024 Giap Thin Tet holiday. In particular, on the 3rd day of Tet, the number of visitors to Tranh Temple increased dramatically, estimated at about 35% compared to the same period last year.

In order to attract a large number of tourists to visit and worship at Tranh Temple, in recent years, Ninh Giang District (Hai Duong Province) has always focused on preserving and promoting the cultural heritage values ​​of Tranh Temple as well as festivals.

This year, the weather was favorable, thousands of Hai Duong people and tourists came to Tranh temple to visit.

Tranh Temple Management Board arranges 20 staff on duty, including security, to serve visitors attentively. The team watches over vehicles, regulates, guides visitors to safe parking, and collects service fees according to regulations.

The number of visitors increased because before Tet, the Tranh Temple Management Board widely promoted and advertised on mass media and social networks about the program to welcome the spring of At Ty at the temple.

Tranh Temple was ranked as a national historical and cultural relic by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in 2009. Tranh Temple's traditional festival was included in the list of national intangible cultural heritage in 2022.
