The 2025 Muong ethnic group's Opening Ceremony in Hoa Binh province took place in a jubilant and exciting atmosphere. At the same time, it honored and preserved the traditional cultural and religious values of the Muong people in Hoa Binh, while also arousing national pride and promoting the emulation movement of labor, production and study in the new year.
According to Lao Dong, thousands of locals and tourists were present here to enjoy the spring festival. The crowd from National Highway 6 was packed, many tourists had to struggle to move step by step to enter the festival.
From early morning, the festival atmosphere was bustling with traditional rituals, especially the ritual of worshiping the local god, the local god and the Thanh Hoang. In particular, the opening ceremony made a strong impression with the procession of the National Mother Hoang Ba's palanquin from the Luy Ai hamlet temple to the stadium, imbued with the cultural identity of the Muong ethnic group.
This year’s festival attracted the participation of more than 500 Muong gong artisans, along with 100 artisans and art cores from communes and towns in the district. The resounding sounds of Muong gongs combined with the open space of the stadium created a solemn yet extremely vibrant atmosphere.
In addition to the ceremony, the festival part of the 2025 Khai Ha festival is also very rich with unique cultural and sports activities. Ethnic minority groups participate in the national costume performance, display the unique traditional cuisine of the Muong people, and folk games such as crossbow shooting, tug of war, and stick pushing, bringing interesting experiences to participants.
Within the framework of the festival, one of the special highlights is the 2025 Volleyball Championship within the framework of the 8th Tan Lac District Sports Festival. The sports matches took place excitingly, attracting enthusiastic cheers from local people, contributing to making the festival more attractive and diverse.
Mr. Bui Van Tinh - Chairman of Tan Lac District People's Committee said that the 2025 Muong Hoa Binh Ethnic Group Opening Festival is not only an opportunity for people to honor the cultural and religious values of their ethnic group but also an opportunity to strengthen solidarity and cohesion among ethnic groups.
With a variety of activities, the festival not only creates a joyful and exciting atmosphere at the beginning of spring but also promotes the spirit of emulation in labor, production and study in the new year, contributing to the implementation of local socio-economic development goals; affirming the position of Hoa Binh province in preserving and promoting traditional cultural values.
