The contest is organized by the provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism. This is an important cultural event in 2025 to continue to do a good job of preserving and promoting the value of Bac Ninh Quan Ho folk song - the representative intangible cultural heritage of humanity.
The contest took place from March 2 to 4, with the participation of 8 mass art troupes, 58 Quan Ho villages with 580 outstanding artisans, actors, and musicians from districts, towns, and cities in the province. The contest has 2 main contents: Quan Ho co Contest and Quan Ho Music Stage Contest.
In the Quan Ho music stage competition, the units brought a bustling competition space with 46 performances of Quan Ho ancient and new lyrics that were elaborately staged and creative, bringing impressive emotions to the audience.
In the response singing competition, there were 100 pairs of brothers and sisters aged 18 - 75, participating in 2 events: 50 questions (65 pairs) and 150 questions (35 pairs). The contestants went through 2 preliminary rounds at the district and provincial levels. The contestants are all very fans of ancient Quan Ho and have a diligent training process, passionate about learning about traditional Quan Ho routes.
Participating in the second Bac Ninh Quan Ho Folk Song Contest, Mr. Hai Tran Van An (Luong Tai District Art Group) shared: I feel very honored to join the group in the contest. This is not only a place for exchange but also contributes to bringing the Quan Ho folk song of the hometown to the people inside and outside Bac Ninh province".
The Quan Ho Folk Song Contest in early spring is held periodically every year. This is an opportunity for artisans and actors, immediately brothers and sisters, to learn together and spread their love for heritage. Thereby arousing a sense of responsibility to contribute to enhancing the strong vitality of the value of Quan Ho folk cultural heritage in contemporary life.
