On the evening of December 6, Da Lat City organized a street carnival with the theme "Flowers and Heritage", within the framework of the 10th Da Lat Flower Festival. The 10th Da Lat Flower Festival in 2024 is the most special event of the year organized by Lam Dong province.
The event brought together 14 art groups, 40 gong artists, 10 flower floats and more than 450 local extras.
The parade lineup has 75 bicycles, representing 75 educational institutions, including schools from kindergarten to high school and other educational institutions in the city.
Next to them were members of the Da Lat City Women's Union wearing ao dai and holding conical hats.
The festival not only brings a vibrant, colorful atmosphere but also conveys the message of preserving and promoting the natural and cultural heritage values of Da Lat.
Mr. Dang Quang Tu, Chairman of the People's Committee of Da Lat City said: "This year's Flower Festival is not only an opportunity to promote the image of Da Lat, but also an opportunity for us to affirm together that Da Lat is a wonderful creative space for art, an ideal destination for those who love flowers, nature and people here".
According to Mr. Tu, on this occasion, the locality also called for the support of domestic and foreign businesses and investors to take advantage of opportunities for socio-economic development in the area.
“We hope to receive stronger cooperation and investment to develop Da Lat sustainably and maintain its position as the leading tourist city in Vietnam,” Mr. Tu emphasized.
Dalat is not only the city of thousands of flowers, but it is also a land rich in natural resources and cultural identity.
Da Lat city is a cultural intersection of many residents from many regions and provinces across the country coming here to settle down and live. Thereby, creating a unique feature of the "gentle - elegant - hospitable" lifestyle of Da Lat people.
