Here, the working group inspected the operation of Ruby eco-tourism site, Yen Binh commune; conducted a field survey in the Thac Ba lake area; surveyed and evaluated the homestay Do Gia tourist accommodation facility, Yen Thanh commune and An Binh Village Resort, Yen Binh commune.
Happy house Do Gia, Yen Thanh commune is a homestay along the lake, benefiting from the fresh, peaceful natural scenery of Thac Ba lake, currently has 2 community stilt houses, 12 private rooms, and 1 family room, attracting over 7,000 visitors to visit and experience every year.
An Binh Village tourist destination has a variety of accommodation types with 2 stilt houses, 4 collective housing areas, 6 bungalows and 1 villa; welcoming nearly 5,000 visitors every year; having a restaurant with 200 guests with local dishes; having health care services (Bahai for Thai medicine, yoga class, meditation).



After conducting a field survey, Vice Chairman of Lao Cai Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thanh Sinh worked with departments, branches, and local People's Committees to grasp the development of Thac Ba Lake tourism.
According to information from departments and branches, in recent times, the locality has actively encouraged and called for investors in the tourism service sector. To date, Lao Cai Provincial People's Committee has granted investment policies to 4 large projects with a total capital of tens of thousands of billions of VND. These projects are being accelerated to soon form and put into operation a number of typical and outstanding tourism products of the province.
Accommodation and service infrastructure Thac Ba Lake Tourist Area is diverse with 57 accommodation facilities (including hotels, motels and homestays) to meet the resort needs of tourists. In particular, the development of homestays shows the effective exploitation of community tourism and local identity.
The Tac Ba Lake Tourist Area has been forming a system of diverse, unique, attractive tourism products and gradually improving quality, including: cultural tourism, festivals and national identities; agricultural tourism and ecological experiences; community tourism and craft villages; resort and entertainment tourism.


In 2024, Ho Thac Ba National Tourist Area welcomed and served 356,000 visitors, including 51,000 international visitors; total tourism revenue is estimated at over 324 billion VND.
Through surveying, grasping the actual situation and working with departments, branches and localities on the development of Ho Thac Ba National Tourist Area, the leaders of Lao Cai Provincial People's Committee acknowledged the recommendations and proposals of departments, branches and localities, and assigned the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to propose solutions for the development of Thac Ba Lake Tourist Area.
Thac Ba Lake is one of the three largest artificial lakes in Vietnam with more than 1,300 large and small islands and a system of majestic limestone caves. The Thac Ba Lake area has outstanding potential to develop diverse types of tourism such as: eco-tourism, resorts (mappolary lake scenery, fresh air, diverse ecosystem); cultural and historical tourism (Thach Ba Hydropower Plant); sports and experiential tourism (water activities such as boat rowing, fishing, swimming).
