On June 30, Hung Yen Provincial People's Committee worked with a working delegation of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism led by Mr. Ta Quang Dong - Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism on cultural development orientation and construction of a number of cultural works in the province.
At the working session, leaders of the Provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism reported on the results of implementing tasks in the field of culture, sports and tourism from July 1, 2025 to date, and at the same time proposed development orientations and a list of key cultural works of the province.
According to reports, the work of preserving and promoting heritage values continues to be concerned. The whole province currently has 3.716 relics, including 6 relics, special national relics areas, 284 relics, national-level relics clusters and 884 relics, provincial-level relics clusters. The system of grassroots cultural institutions has been gradually consolidated with 100% of communes and wards having cultural houses and 100% of villages and residential groups having places for cultural activities, entertainment, and sports training.

At the working session, the Department of Construction also reported and proposed orientations for implementing a number of key cultural projects, including the Phục Hiến sub-area belonging to the project to recreate the old Pho Hien trading port; the square area belonging to the PVF Youth Football Training Center project; the statue of President Ho Chi Minh associated with Bac Hung Hai Dai Thuy Nong and planned locations of central squares, parks, and sculpture gardens in some urban areas of the province.
Concluding, Deputy Minister Ta Quang Dong highly appreciated the results Hung Yen has achieved in cultural development, heritage preservation and tourism potential exploitation. He said that Hung Yen has a unique cultural space, rich in historical traditions, which is the foundation for developing the cultural industry.
The Deputy Minister requested the province to continue to expand cultural space, develop cultural industries associated with innovation; research and develop media, film, and performing arts products to promote the local image; promote the value of relics, preserve traditional art, craft villages, elevate Pho Hien Folk Culture Festival and exploit the advantages of river and water space to develop new cultural and tourism products.
Speaking at the working session, Mr. Nguyen Manh Quyen - Chairman of Hung Yen Provincial People's Committee, affirmed that the province always identifies cultural development as the spiritual foundation of society, both a goal and a driving force for socio-economic development.
He requested units to absorb the opinions of the working delegation to complete the direction of cultural development; and at the same time said that the province will study organizing large-scale annual cultural events, determined to implement the project to restore the old Pho Hien trading port space, elevate the Pho Hien Folk Culture Festival and continue to invest in developing mass sports and high-performance sports.
