On September 8, the public and tourists visiting Rome for the first time witnessed the unique heritage spaces just completed restoration inside the Trajan Bath complex (Baths of Trajan). This is a famous ancient Roman public bath.
The focus of this launch is the underground corridor area and the semi-circular part in the southwest of the complex.
Here, restoration experts revealed top decorative works dating from the first century AD, most notably the mosaic "Great Mosaic" and the ancient mural "Painted City" with sophisticated patterns preserved intact.
At the same time, the Southwest semi-circular hall area has also completed the reinforcement process to be ready to welcome visitors. This area is a large arch hall built in the 2nd century AD and was identified by archaeologists as once playing the role of an ancient library.
This restoration project not only protects precious heritage from the impact of time, but also adds a stopping point rich in cultural and historical values right in the heart of the ancient capital Rome.
