On September 2, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Quang Tri said that on the occasion of the September 2 holiday this year, the number of tourists coming to the locality decreased compared to the same period, mainly due to unfavorable weather conditions due to storm No. 6.
According to a report by the Quang Tri tourism industry, the total number of visitors is estimated at 223,000, down 4.4% over the same period last year. Of which, international visitors reached 1,950 arrivals, an increase of 2.63%. Total revenue from tourism is estimated at 256.5 billion VND, an increase of 6.5% compared to 2024. The average accommodation capacity is about 50%.
Due to the impact of storm No. 6, many tourist areas and spots have had to temporarily stop receiving visitors, especially in the Phong Nha - Ke Bang area. However, tourism activities in the area are still organized safely, so far there have been no unfortunate incidents for tourists.
