Hanoi - Passengers with train tickets to and from Hanoi during the days of road closure for parades and parades on National Day 2.9 will be paid for free.

During many days of events celebrating the 80th anniversary of National Day on September 2 (A80) in Hanoi, many routes were closed to traffic, changing train schedules as well as disrupting passenger travel.

In that situation, the Railway Transport Joint Stock Company announced that passengers will be paid free tickets due to the impact of traffic diversion in the Hanoi area to serve important activities during the September 2 holiday.

Passengers are refunded free tickets for train tickets on August 21, 24, 27, 29, 30 and September 1-2.

To be eligible for free ticket sales, passengers must meet one of the following two conditions:

(1) Passengers with train tickets have train departure or completion at Hanoi station, but due to traffic diversion, trains must end and depart at Gia Lam station or Long Bien station. If passengers need to return tickets without taking the train, they will be refunded free tickets before the train leaves.

(2) Passengers who have a train ticket but are stuck due to traffic jams will be refunded if the passenger is present at the station and completes the ticket payment procedure no more than 2 hours later than the train departure time stated on the ticket.

The stations that pay tickets are Hanoi Station, Long Bien Station, Gia Lam Station and Giap Bat Station.

To ensure security and traffic safety, the road closure schedule on September 2 in Hanoi is applied according to each specific time frame:

11:30 on August 21 to 3:00 on August 22

12:30 on August 24 to 2:00 on August 25

5:00 p.m. on August 27 to 3:00 a.m. on August 28

6:00 p.m. on August 29 to 3:00 p.m. on August 30

6:00 p.m. on September 1 to 3:00 p.m. on September 2

During the above time, many streets in Ba Dinh, Hoan Kiem, Dong Da, Tay Ho... will completely ban vehicles (except for vehicles serving celebrations and vehicles with protection badges). In addition, some other routes will be temporarily banned or restricted to traffic depending on the type of vehicle and time.

Not only for trains, metro and public transport, but also for public transport, the direction must be changed. Tourists need to learn in detail about the routes and the time of travel ban to have a direction of travel suitable for their personal schedule.
