A series of museums open for free on National Day, September 2

On the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day on September 2, a number of museums and tourist attractions in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City opened for free.

From September 1 to 3, 2025, museums under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, along with the Vietnam Ethnic Culture and Tourism Village and the Vietnam Contemporary Arts Theater will serve people and tourists to visit freely.

Museums and tourist attractions organize a series of unique cultural activities to spread historical values and national traditions.

At the Ho Chi Minh Museum in Hanoi, many topics will be introduced, including: "80 years of the People's Public Security engraved with Uncle Ho's words" opened on August 15.8; "Independence Autumn" opened on August 26.; Large oil paintings "Independent Spring", displayed outdoors, opening on September 2.

The Vietnam Fine Arts Museum in Hanoi organizes two exhibitions: "Children of the Fatherland", opening on August 15.8; "Artificial Intelligence in Applied Fine Arts", opening on August 22.

The National Museum of History in Hanoi introduces the topic "Folklore of Education - Light Up the Future", scheduled to open on August 22.

The Vietnam Fine Arts Museum in Ho Chi Minh City organizes the exhibition "Ho Chi Minh - Portrait of a Human".

The Vietnam Ethnic Culture and Tourism Village will recreate the highland market space and organize cultural and artistic activities of ethnic minority communities, creating a highlight for the holiday.

Mr. Trinh Ngoc Chung, Director of the Department of Ethnic Culture of Vietnam, said that it is expected that within 3 days of free opening, the Village will serve about 50,000 visitors.

The program is directed by Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Van Hung, aiming to arouse national pride, inspiring today's generation to enter a new stage of prosperous and civilized development.

Through activities, people can truly enjoy the fruits of our country, while contributing to promoting the cultural image of the country, people and people of Vietnam to friends in the region and the world.

On the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025) and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025), leaders of the Party, State and Government have directed the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to organize many major activities to arouse pride in the heroic historical tradition of the country over the past 80 years, to create motivation and inspiration for our nation to enter a new era, an era of strong, civilized and prosperous development.

The 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day on September 2 will take place from 6:30 a.m. on September 2 at Ba Dinh Square (Hanoi), with a parade and parade program of about 30,000 people chaired by the Ministry of National Defense.

Hanoi is expected to welcome millions of visitors with many cultural, artistic and tourism activities.
