From early morning, outside Ba Dinh Square (Ba Dinh, Hanoi), a large number of people and tourists gathered waiting to attend the flag-raising ceremony in front of President Ho Chi Minh's Mausoleum. At exactly 5:55 a.m., the infantry group appeared, the flag-raising ceremony took place in a solemn and emotional atmosphere.

After the flag-raising ceremony, people began lining up to pay their respects to Uncle Ho. Even though it was early Monday, there were many people lining up outside the control gate. Everyone is looking forward to meeting the Doctor on the special day.
Nguyen Thi Hien and Nguyen Hoang Khanh Linh (18 years old, student at Vinh University, Nghe An) took a train together from Vinh to Hanoi at 3am. As soon as they arrived at the hotel, the two hurriedly took a bus to Ba Dinh Square to attend the flag-raising ceremony.
"After the flag-raising ceremony, we lined up to visit Uncle Ho's Mausoleum. We want to come to Hanoi to visit Uncle Ho on this special occasion as a way of gratitude, expressing gratitude and love for Uncle Ho," Khanh Linh said.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Hong Phuong (31 years old, Da Nang) and 2 other sisters went to Hanoi on the occasion of May 19. Hong Phuong said: "The moment the flag was raised, when the National Anthem rang out, I felt a feeling of overflow and patriotism".

Hong Phuong added that this was her first time visiting Hanoi to visit President Ho Chi Minh's Mausoleum. After visiting Uncle Ho, the group will continue to visit some famous places in the capital such as the Temple of Literature - Quoc Tu Giam, Hoan Kiem Lake, Thang Long Imperial Citadel...

Ms. Ngo Thi Phong ( Retired teacher, Hanoi) said: "To celebrate the 135th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday, I really want to come here to commemorate Uncle Ho. Even though I was not able to attend the flag-raising ceremony and stood in front of the mausoleum, I felt excited and missed Uncle Ho very much."
As a history teacher, Ms. Ngo Thi Phong has a deep understanding of President Ho Chi Minh. Even after retiring, she still passed on historical knowledge in general and the story of Uncle Ho in particular to her students.
"On this special occasion, I also brought my excellent students here to report to Uncle Ho, and at the same time showed my deep respect and gratitude to him," Ms. Phong expressed.
From Ho Chi Minh City, Ms. Anh Thu, her mother and son visited the capital on the occasion of Uncle Ho's birthday. Returning to the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum after more than 20 years, Anh Thu could not help but be moved when standing in front of the historic Ba Dinh Square.

She shared: "Our family of 3 took a flight to Hanoi from the afternoon of May 18. The Mausoleum of President Ho Chi Minh is the first place we have chosen to visit on this occasion. After visiting Uncle Ho, we will visit the stilt house, Mot col pagoda, Uncle Ho fish pond...".
Planning to stay until the weekend, Ms. Anh Thu's family will continue to visit famous destinations in the capital such as the Vietnam Military History Museum, Hoan Kiem Lake, Thang Long Imperial Citadel... and spend a full day exploring Trang An (Ninh Binh).
