The "Fatherland - 80 independent Autumns" temporary and artistic photo exhibition taking place from now until October 19 at the Temple of Literature - Quoc Tu Giam (Hanoi) introduces 200 typical photo works, selected from 5,032 photos sent from all over the country.
The works are arranged in three topics: Unforgettable years; The joyful country; Integration and Development.
Through the lens of many generations of photographers, viewers can look back at the historical journey of the nation - from the difficult war years to the period of innovation and integration.
Each frame is a story, a slice of time, contributing to recreating the 50-year journey of building and defending the Fatherland.

Visiting the exhibition on October 17, Ingrid Stuger (a Belgian tourist) shared: "The exhibition is very beautiful, vibrant and vibrant, blending modernity with historical periods expressed through impressive black and white photos".
She hopes the exhibition will have an English or French version so that international visitors can easily access it, and believes that activities like this need to be held more regularly to help visitors understand and appreciate Vietnam more.
The female tourist was impressed with the photo of Hai Phong women picking fruit in a peaceful setting. They work very focused, as if to devote all their love to their work.
I have studied Vietnamese history and found that maintaining and recounting history is extremely important so that the younger generation does not forget the past. I really appreciate that - the tourist from Belgium shared.

Among the gourmet crowds, Mr. Do Van Thanh (from Hung Yen) shared that when entering the exhibition, he clearly felt the development and integration of the country.
Photos of electronic chips or traditional craft villages help him see a new look of Vietnam, even though he does not have a deep understanding of those fields.
"I have visited the Temple of Literature before, but this time I feel more special when there is a meaningful photo exhibition here, bringing visitors more understanding and pride in the Fatherland" - Mr. Thanh said.
Not only attracting visitors, the exhibition is also an opportunity for photographers to share the story behind each work.
At the exhibition area with the theme of the country full of joy, photographer Tran Uong Son stood next to his photo, talking about the moment he recorded the Thong Nhat - Connecting the two regions of the North and South.
He was moved when remembering the 80 year journey of building and defending the Fatherland - where many people have fallen for independence and freedom.
Mr. Son hopes that today's young generation will always cherish and continue the heroic tradition of previous generations, from journalists to photographers to contribute to preserving and enriching the nation's cultural documentary reserve.

Meanwhile, at the exhibition booth "Integration and Development", photographer Le Quang Dung chose for himself another perspective, he focused on the image of people in labor, building the homeland and country.
Mr. Dung shared: Nghe An is a vast land, with both forests and seas, and rich in alluvium. This place is invested in high technology, clean milk production - a testament to the industrialization, modernization process and a bright spot in local economic development. I want to preserve that moment so that the public can feel it too.
He also expressed his honor to contribute a small part to the exhibition, considering it a way to contribute to the development of Vietnamese photography. In the context of a country undergoing strong innovation, the photographer hopes to capture many moments to convey to viewers the pride in the rise of the Fatherland.
