Western tourists write thank you letter to Da Nang after getting back lost property

On the morning of October 29, Son Tra Border Guard Station (Da Nang) said it had returned the lost wallet to Belgian tourist Stroobants.

Previously, at 1:00 p.m. on October 24, while patrolling the Son Tra Peninsula area, Lieutenant colonel Ngo Thien Phan picked up a wallet on Hoang Sa Street, Tho Quang Ward, Son Tra District (in front of Linh Ung - Bai But Pagoda).

Inside there was money and many important documents such as: citizen identification card, ATM card; residence permit... all in the name of Stroobants (Belgian nationality).

Lieutenant colonel Phan reported to the unit commander and coordinated with the authorities, and posted a search notice to quickly verify the information to find the owner of the wallet. On the morning of October 29, Mr. Stroobants contacted to receive the above documents.

Receiving back his wallet and lost documents, Mr. Stroobants was very emotional, thanked the officers and soldiers of Son Tra Border Guard Station for helping him find his property and expressed his trust in the spirit and responsibility of the Vietnam Border Guard.
