General Nguyen Cong Vang was a typical meritorious mandarin under the Tran Dynasty, making many contributions to the cause of fighting foreign invaders and protecting the country's borders.
According to history books, he was a person who was both literary and martial, trusted by the court, and held important positions such as Tham tụng Quốc chính, Quyền Trưởng, Phó Đô Nguyên Soái Đại tướng quân.
In the resistance wars against the Yuan-Mongol army and the Lao invaders, he showed his tactical talent and heroic spirit, contributing to the glorious victories of the nation under the Tran Dynasty.
In 1306, in a fierce battle, he bravely sacrificed himself for the country, and was posthumously awarded a noble title by the court and allowed to build a temple. Since then, the local people have revered him as the village tutelary god, forever burning incense and worshiping him, expressing the morality of "When drinking water, remember the source" of the nation.

Ha Do communal house - the place to worship General Nguyen Cong Vang has also been ranked as a national historical and cultural relic by the State since 1994.
