On February 20, 2026 (the 4th day of the first lunar month of Binh Ngo year), at Keo Pagoda Ancestral Temple (Vu Tien commune, Hung Yen province), the Organizing Committee solemnly held the Opening Ceremony, opening the Spring Festival of Keo Pagoda in 2026.
The ceremony took place in a solemn and respectful atmosphere, marking the opening moment of the Holy Temple - the time to open the traditional festival season of Hung Yen homeland rich in morality and spiritual cultural depth.
Right from the early morning, thousands of monks, nuns, Buddhists, pilgrims and local people gathered at the pagoda in the melodious sound of bells and drums. The ancient temple space was immersed in the spreading incense smoke, creating a sacred and peaceful atmosphere.

The opening ceremony is performed according to the traditional ritual: opening the seal, opening the gate of the Holy Temple - symbolizing the opening of the heart, welcoming the light of wisdom and compassion illuminating all directions, praying for national peace and prosperity, favorable weather, and peace for the people.
According to traditional beliefs, "khai chi" is not only the opening ritual of the festival, but also a symbol of birth, initiation of the mind towards goodness, and the origin of a peaceful and smooth new year.

The Keo Pagoda Spring Festival of Binh Ngo takes place on the 4th day of the first lunar month (February 20, 2026) with many special traditional rituals and activities such as worshiping Buddha and Saints at Gia Roi Pagoda, running races, especially the fire-pulling rice cooking ritual - a unique folk ritual imbued with symbolic values of labor, survival and community spirit.
Besides, there are folk games such as catching ducks, climbing corn bridges, Chinese chess..., creating a bustling and joyful atmosphere, opening a new spring of peace, warmth and rich traditional cultural identity.
