On April 25, the Management Board of Son Tra Peninsula and Da Nang tourist beaches organized the opening of the sea tourism season at Bien Dong Park. The event takes place to respond to the tourism stimulus program of Da Nang city. For 9 days, from April 25 to May 3, 19 activities take place at the beaches. Visitors have the opportunity to experience the pizza festival, the process of making ice cream from rice or watch kite art performances. On the water, athletes perform canoe parachuting, water motors, sailboats and flyboards. At Son Tra Peninsula, the organizers implement a walking festival and culinary space to serve people.
The highlight of the series of events is the sea rescue competition and sea swimming tournament. Rescue forces from provinces and countries meet to exchange rescue experiences. The swimming tournament attracts 500 people to compete on the sea waves. In addition, the marine environment day is held to call on everyone to protect the beach. The program allows people to exchange garbage for fabric bags or green trees for use in daily life.
To serve tourists, the city focuses on rescue and security and order. The Management Board requests business units to list prices and redecorate the sales area. Mr. Nguyen Duc Vu, Director of the Management Board, said that the unit mobilized 100% of forces to patrol the beach to protect people. Throughout the summer, beaches in the Southern region such as An Bang, Cua Dai, Tam Thanh also organize food festivals and night entertainment programs.
