October 6. The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Khanh Hoa is coordinating with the Department of Ethnic Culture of Vietnam to report and seek opinions from the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism on adjusting the time to organize the 6th Cham Ethnic Culture Festival to December 2025.
The time adjustment is to avoid the rainy and stormy season and ensure the best preparation conditions for the event.
According to the direction of the Provincial People's Committee, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism needs to proactively work directly with relevant agencies, units and localities to carefully inspect and review each content and task in the preparation for the Festival.
At the same time, complete the draft organization plan, ensure clarity of people, work, time, responsibilities, authority and products.
The Department was also assigned to advise the Provincial People's Committee on documents submitted to the Provincial People's Committee Party Committee to report to the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee on the contents related to the 6th Cham Ethnic Culture Festival.
In addition, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Khanh Hoa is responsible for inspecting, reviewing and selecting the unit to organize events within the framework of the Festival, ensuring compliance with legal regulations, publicity, transparency, meeting requirements on quality and efficiency.
Previously, on September 10, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism issued a plan to organize the 6th Cham Ethnic Culture Festival in Khanh Hoa province in 2025.
According to the plan, the festival is scheduled to take place from October 17 to 19 at 16/4 Square (Phan Rang Ward and Dong Hai Ward), with the participation of nearly 600 artisans, actors, and Cham ethnic mass athletes from 6 provinces and cities: Khanh Hoa, Gia Lai, Dak Lak, Lam Dong, An Giang and Ho Chi Minh City.
The event is expected to have many unique cultural, sports and tourism activities, contributing to honoring, introducing and promoting the traditional cultural values of the Cham people, while enhancing exchanges and cohesion between localities where the Cham ethnic community lives.
