Khanh Hoa - The first flight of Nordwind International Airport to bring tourists directly from Russia to Cam Ranh after nearly 5 years of suspension.

On September 29, the Khanh Hoa Provincial Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion Center coordinated with relevant units to organize a welcoming ceremony for flight RA73850 of Nordwind International Airport, bringing passengers from Moscow airport to Cam Ranh - Khanh Hoa International Airport.

Attending the welcoming ceremony were Vice Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee, Mr. Nguyen Long Bien and Mr. Timur Sadykov - Consul General of the Russian Federation in Ho Chi Minh City.

Immediately after the passengers landed in the T2 lobby of Cam Ranh International Station, representatives of Khanh Hoa province's leaders presented flowers and gifts to welcome the first 20 passengers to Khanh Hoa.

Flight RA73850 carrying 365 passengers, mainly from Russia, landed at Cam Ranh airport, starting a resort trip at resorts in the province.

From October 2025, Nordwind Airlines will organize an average of 18 - 22 flights/month with an expected number of passengers of about 6,800 passengers/month.

The airline's flights depart from 8 Russian cities including: Moscow, Saint Petersburg, Ekaterinburg, Vladivostok, Khabarovsk, Kazan, Irkutsk, Krasnoyarsk.

According to the Center for Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion of Khanh Hoa province, there are currently over 30 flights per week from Russia to Cam Ranh International Airport.

Flights transporting tourists from the Russian tourist market and former Soviet countries on package tours to visit and relax in Khanh Hoa province, with the number of passengers per flight being about 370 passengers/trip.

This is a source of traditional tourists with high spending, contributing to the development of tourism in the province.

In the first 9 months of 2025, Khanh Hoa province's tourism industry welcomed a total of more than 14.1 million visitors, an increase of 16.5% over the same period (reaching nearly 90% of the 2025 plan).

Of which, international visitors are estimated to reach more than 4.3 million, an increase of 18.7% over the same period. In September 2025 alone, the total number of tourists reached more than 1.2 million (up 16.86%). International visitors alone made a strong breakthrough with 506,000 arrivals, an increase of 42.49% over the same period.

Total tourism revenue in the first 9 months is estimated at over VND 56,540 billion, up 19.2% over the same period in 2024.
