According to the leader of Khanh Hoa Department of Tourism, to kick off a series of activities and events in 2025 of the tourism industry, the Department of Tourism coordinated with Anex Vietnam Trading and Tourism Company Limited and related units to welcome the first flight from Europe to Khanh Hoa on the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2025.
On January 29 (the first day of Lunar New Year), flight U5 2297 of SkyUp Airlines landed at International Terminal T2 - Cam Ranh International Airport.
This is the first flight bringing tourists from Europe to Cam Ranh International Airport in the year of At Ty 2025. At the same time, the flight marks the opening of a direct flight from the capital of Poland to Cam Ranh.
SkyUp Airlines flight U5 2297 departed from Warsaw International Airport (Poland) at 6:00 p.m. (local time) on January 28 and landed at Cam Ranh Airport at 12:00 p.m. on January 29, carrying 531 passengers.
At the flight welcoming ceremony, Vice Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee Dinh Van Thieu presented flowers, gifts and lucky money envelopes to congratulate the New Year of At Ty 2025 to the first guests.
All tourists on the flight will stay in Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa for 10 days at 4-5 star resorts and hotels and visit and experience local destinations and services.
After this flight, there will be 3 flights per month organized by Anex Vietnam Trading and Tourism Company Limited in coordination with other units to organize direct flights to Cam Ranh International Airport. This is a good sign at the beginning of the year to help the tourism industry expand the source of European tourists to Vietnam in general and Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa in particular.
According to Khanh Hoa Department of Tourism, the European tourist market in general and Poland in particular are considered potential tourist markets of Khanh Hoa province.
In 2024, Khanh Hoa will serve about 181,700 tourists from Europe out of a total of more than 4.7 million international arrivals. Tourists mainly come from the following countries: Russia, UK, France, Germany, Netherlands, Norway, Sweden, Switzerland, Italy, Finland, Spain, Belgium, Denmark.
In 2024, Khanh Hoa tourism industry welcomed more than 10.8 million visitors, an increase of 49.03% over the same period, exceeding the annual plan by 20.6%; total tourism revenue is estimated at more than 53,000 billion VND, an increase of 56.47% over the same period, exceeding the 2024 plan by 32.5%.
By 2025, Khanh Hoa tourism industry strives to welcome 11.8 million tourists, including 6.6 million domestic visitors and 5.2 million international visitors, with tourism revenue reaching 60,000 billion VND.
