On June 9, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Khanh Hoa said that on the same morning, the international cruise ship Star Voyager brought about 1,300 multinational tourists, mainly Singaporean tourists, to Cam Ranh International Port, visiting many famous destinations of the locality.
According to information from the Khanh Hoa tourism industry, the Star Voyager ship departed from Singapore, docked at Cam Ranh International Port at 7 am and stayed in the locality until 4 pm on the same day.
During the visit, tourists are organized by Saigontourist Trading and Travel Service Co., Ltd. with many unique experience programs in Nha Trang and surrounding areas.
Destinations include Ba Ponagar Tower, Hon Chong, Dam Market, Truong Son craft village and mud bath service at I-Resort.
After completing the tour in Khanh Hoa, the ship will continue its voyage to Ho Chi Minh City.
The continuous reception of international cruise ships in recent times shows the increasing attraction of Khanh Hoa to the cruise tourist flow.
This is also a segment of customers with high spending, short stays but bringing significant economic value to the locality through sightseeing, shopping and service use activities.
According to statistics, from the beginning of 2026 to now, Khanh Hoa has welcomed 32 international cruise ships with more than 48,701 visitors ashore for sightseeing. It is expected that from now until the end of the year, the locality will welcome 18 more international cruise ships.
The return of cruise ships is considered a positive sign for Khanh Hoa's tourism industry in the context that the locality is promoting the image of destinations and diversifying tourism product lines.
Not only recording a strong recovery of cruise tourism, tourism activities in general in Khanh Hoa in 2026 are also growing impressively.
According to Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee, in the first 5 months of the year, a series of large-scale art programs, festivals and sports events were organized, contributing to increasing the attractiveness of the destination.
Prominent are 3D Mapping technology performances, fireworks displays in Nha Trang Bay, the art program "Colors of the Land of Agarwood" and international sports events such as the Victory Challenge 2026 International Off-road Sports Car Race.
In May 2026 alone, the province's total tourism revenue reached about 6,750 billion VND, an increase of 31.6% compared to the same period last year. Accumulated in the first 5 months of the year, tourism revenue reached more than 33,893 billion VND, an increase of 32.9%.
The total number of tourists to Khanh Hoa reached about 9.2 million, an increase of 52.9% compared to the same period in 2025. Of which, international visitors reached 3.8 million, an increase of 65.9%, further affirming Khanh Hoa's position as one of the leading sea tourism centers in the country.
