On June 4, Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee just issued a Plan to build a Project on nighttime economic development for the period 2026 - 2030, with orientations to 2045, to promote the development of trade, services, and tourism; better serve the material and spiritual life of people and tourists, contributing to promoting socio-economic growth of the locality.
Khanh Hoa is assessed as a locality with great potential for nighttime economic development when the infrastructure system and nighttime activities and services have basically been formed.
According to the plan, the province orients the development of the night economy towards diversifying products and services, night tourism; creating differentiated highlights through organizing large-scale events to attract tourists to stay, increase revenue, create jobs, and at the same time ensure security and order.
The goal is to gradually turn Khanh Hoa into a smart city, developing sustainably by 2030.
Key areas oriented for development include cultural activities, entertainment, food services, shopping and tourism.
To effectively exploit the potential of the night economy and create new growth momentum, the Provincial People's Committee requests units and localities to develop a Project on night economic development for the period 2026 - 2030, with orientations to 2045 in accordance with provincial and local planning.
The province also requires that nighttime economic activities must develop in harmony with daytime economics, have connection, mutual support and not negatively affect people's daily lives.
The content of the Project will focus on assessing the current situation and potential for nighttime economic development in Khanh Hoa, including factors related to natural conditions, transport infrastructure, trade, tourism, accommodation facilities, human resources, management mechanisms, needs and development potential.
On that basis, propose orientations and solutions for management, organization of implementation and assessment of the impact of the night economy on the socio-economic development of the province.
According to the roadmap, the first draft Project will be completed and opinions will be collected from departments, branches, localities, associations, experts and scientists before May 25, 2026.
The project will continue to be completed and submitted to competent authorities for consideration in June and is expected to be issued before June 30, 2026.
The Department of Finance is assigned to preside over the development of the Project, coordinate the entire implementation process, synthesize content from departments, branches, localities and organize implementation after the Project is promulgated.
