On May 25, news from Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee said that there is a Project to develop OCOP products to become provincial tourism ambassadors in the period 2026-2030.
The project aims to make OCOP products become "tourism ambassadors" of Khanh Hoa, closely linked to tourism activities and cultural experiences, local identity.
Thereby, contributing to improving product value, creating sustainable livelihoods for people, and at the same time increasing the attractiveness and differentiation of Khanh Hoa's tourist destination.
According to the project, in the period 2026-2030, Khanh Hoa province strives to have at least 10% of OCOP products associated with tourism; forming at least 30 OCOP - tourism introduction and experience points throughout the province.
The province also sets a goal to bring OCOP products into tourism consumption channels and digital platforms; 100% of OCOP introduction and experience points have QR codes for tourists to look up product information and cultural stories.
In addition, 100% of OCOP products associated with tourism will be available on the e-commerce platform, smart tourism application and tourism website of the province. Revenue from OCOP products associated with tourism is expected to account for 15% or more of the total OCOP revenue of the whole province.
The project prioritizes the development of typical products with strong local identity such as bird's nests, sea grapes, agarwood, grapes, apples, mangoes, grapefruits, durians, asparagus, garlic, sea cartilage, goat meat, lamb meat...
In which, the province focuses on selecting OCOP products that achieve 4 stars or higher and special products that have been recognized as OCOP 3 stars to build into gift products and unique tourism experiences.
