The wind will change direction to Northeast level 3 inland, level 4-5 in coastal areas.

During this cold spell, the weather in the North and North Central regions will turn cool. The nights and early mornings will be cold, especially in the mountainous areas of the North.

The lowest temperature in the North and Thanh Hoa is generally 19-22 degrees Celsius, in mountainous areas 17-19 degrees Celsius, in high mountainous areas below 16 degrees Celsius. In Nghe An - Ha Tinh, the lowest temperature is generally 20-23 degrees Celsius.

In Hanoi, on the night of October 1, the weather will turn cool with the lowest temperature commonly ranging from 21-23 degrees Celsius. From the night of October 2-4, the lowest temperature commonly ranges from 19-21 degrees Celsius.

At sea, from noon on October 1, in the Gulf of Tonkin, the wind will change direction to Northeast, gradually increasing to level 6, gusting to level 7-8. The sea will be rough, with waves 2.0-3.0m high.

On the morning of October 1, in the Northwest, Viet Bac, Thanh Hoa and Nghe An regions, there will be rain, moderate rain and scattered thunderstorms, locally heavy rain with rainfall of 10-30mm, in some places over 60mm.

From the afternoon of October 1-2, the area from Southern Nghe An to Thua Thien Hue will have moderate rain, heavy rain and thunderstorms, locally very heavy rain with common rainfall from 30-70mm, some places over 150mm. During thunderstorms, there is a possibility of tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong gusts of wind.

Heavy rain and localized heavy rains are likely to cause flooding in low-lying areas, flash floods in small rivers and streams, and landslides on steep slopes. Strong winds and large waves at sea are likely to affect boating and other activities.
