Mr. Chu Tan Van - President of the contest in Vietnam confirmed that there is currently no decision related to the temporary suspension or revocation of the titles of the contestants who have been awarded prizes.
According to Decree 144 of the Vietnamese Government, the organization and recognition of titles of beauty and modeling contests in Vietnam must be carried out by licensed units. The 2025 World Tourism King Contest has been licensed by the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Ninh Thuan province.
Therefore, any decision related to the contestants' titles must be reviewed and approved by the competent authority and the contest organizing committee" - Mr. Van said.
According to Mr. Van, after information spread on social networks about the temporary postponement of the title of Top 6, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Ninh Thuan province also contacted and the organizing unit also explained the above results.
According to Mr. Chu Tan Van, the incident originated from an international organization that received opposing results from the representative of Malaysia (The 1st Runner-up of the 2025 World Tourism Championship). At the press conference, the organizing unit also provided a detailed scoreboard of the contestants in their journey to participate in the contest.
The scoreboard has the confirmation of the judges to take on the role of "carrying a plump scale". Accordingly, Malaysia's representative - Muhammad Asyraf Bin Mohd Dasli did not make it to the Top in many competitions depending on the contest's framework.
"We affirm that the contest results are assessed as fair, objective and in accordance with the process. We have explained the results to international organizations, but have not yet received any response" - Mr. Van added.
As for Hung Nguyen - Vietnam's representative who won the contest, he said that after the information about the temporary suspension of the title was spread, he himself suffered certain impacts.
My event schedules and advertising contracts have been suspended, causing certain difficulties at work. However, I still have strong confidence in the organizing committee of the King of World Tourism contest, the relevant agencies, and especially the authenticity of the contest.
I believe that the title I have achieved is completely deserved and the contest is still taking place very successfully. The upcoming challenges do not waver my determination. I will continue to give my all and never do anything that is ashamed of my conscience" - Hung Nguyen affirmed.
Talking about the upcoming orientation, Hung Nguyen revealed that he will continue to promote commercial, advertising and tourism activities. He also devoted a lot of effort to the teaching field - a passion that he has always pursued. Hung Nguyen hopes that his efforts will contribute to spreading positive values to the community.
It is known that the Mister Tourism World - World Tourism King 2025 contest hosted by Vietnam will take place in many provinces and cities across the country to promote tourism. The final night took place on the evening of February 18, in Ninh Thuan province.
In the final result, the highest position belonged to Hung Nguyen - representative of Vietnam. The 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th runner-up titles were awarded to representatives from Malaysia, the Dominican Republic, Venezuela, Thailand, and Taiwan.
