Since tourists were free to visit Son Tra peninsula, monkey feeding began to appear, leading to many consequences. Since 2020, images of dozens of monkeys going down to the landfill to dig and search for food have been recorded by tourists.
To this day, this situation still occurs frequently, many people and tourists still carelessly feed monkeys, causing many dangers.
Mr. Nguyen Ngoc An - a tourist from Nghe An, said he was very surprised when the groups of peninsular monkeys in Son Tra were very bold, not afraid of people and rushed to steal food from tourists' hands.
"My family has small children, so we always have to keep our distance and be wary of these monkeys because we are afraid they will attack our children" - Mr. An said.

Recently, the Management Board of Son Tra Peninsula and Da Nang tourist beaches said the unit will take strong measures to prevent people and tourists from feeding monkeys .
