On February 6, online travel platform Booking.com announced the “10 friendliest destinations in the world” within the framework of the 13th Traveller Review Awards. Kien Giang is the only locality in Vietnam to appear on this list.
Accordingly, Kien Giang attracts tourists with its breathtaking natural beauty, from pristine beaches, lush mangrove forests and especially the world-famous Phu Quoc island.
Not only possessing impressive scenery, this land also invites visitors to embark on a journey to discover unique traditional values, enjoy specialties and immerse themselves in the sincerity and hospitality of the local people.
Mr. Varun Grover, Country Director of Booking.com in Vietnam, expressed his joy when Kien Giang was honored as one of the friendliest places in the world: “This is a worthy recognition for the beauty that nature has bestowed upon this place, as well as the warm and dedicated hospitality of our accommodation partners, contributing to bringing visitors memorable high-class resort experiences.”

Based on more than 360 million verified customer reviews, the Traveller Review Awards honor travel partners who consistently deliver outstanding service to make every traveler’s journey more memorable. 2025 marks a record year with 1.71 million partners achieving certification, up 16% from the previous year.

This year's World's Friendliest Destinations list is determined by the ratio of Traveller Review Award-winning accommodation partners to the total number of properties in a particular destination, celebrating diverse destinations across continents.
These locations must also have a higher than average number of award-winning units (minimum 200 units for cities and regions) and be selected according to geographical distribution criteria to ensure regional diversity.
These destinations represent the diverse and captivating beauty of the world and greatly inspire travelers to embark on memorable journeys this year.

The list of the 10 friendliest places in the world in 2025 includes: Osijek-Baranja (Croatia); Kakheti (Georgia); Madeira (Portugal); Misiones (Argentina); Graubünden (Switzerland); South Australia (Australia); Bretagne (France); Baja California Sur (Mexico); Kien Giang (Vietnam) and Drenthe (Netherlands).
