Mr. Tong Thanh Hai - Permanent Vice Chairman of Lai Chau Provincial People's Committee signed and issued Decisions No. 2869 and 2870 on recognizing tourist attractions in the province. Both decisions take effect from November 13, 2025.
Accordingly, " use of Than Uyen hill, Than Uyen commune" and "Love hill Than Uyen, Than Uyen commune" are recognized as tourist destinations in Lai Chau province.
The Provincial People's Committee assigned the People's Committee of Than Uyen commune to be responsible for directing the unit to directly manage the tourist destination to exercise its rights and obligations according to regulations.
In addition, the Departments of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Finance, Agriculture and Rural Development, Construction and relevant agencies, according to their functions and tasks, shall state management of tourist attractions.
The two new tourist destinations in Than Uyen commune are expected to promote the tourism potential of Lai Chau province, creating more attractive destinations for tourists.
Previously, on October 21, 2025, Lai Chau Provincial People's Committee signed and issued Decision No. 2662 on recognizing Thong Lam Ban Chinh, Muong Than Commune as a tourist destination in the province.
