Lai Chau Provincial People's Committee has just issued urgent document No. 4397/UBND-VX on changing the organization time of Lai Chau Tourism - Culture Week in 2024.
Accordingly, considering the proposal of the Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the People's Committee of Lai Chau province agreed to adjust the time of organizing Lai Chau Tourism - Culture Week 2024 from November 8-10, 2024 to December 20-22, 2024.
Other contents are still implemented according to plan No. 3902/KH-UBND dated September 27, 2024 of Lai Chau Provincial People's Committee on Organizing Lai Chau Tourism - Culture Week activities in 2024.
The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism is assigned to preside over and coordinate with provincial departments, branches, sectors, unions and People's Committees of districts and cities to advise the Provincial People's Committee and the Organizing Committee of Lai Chau Tourism - Culture Week 2024 to implement the activities of Lai Chau Tourism - Culture Week 2024 to ensure progress, quality, safety, savings, efficiency and practicality.
Lai Chau Tourism - Culture Week 2024 with the theme "Returning to the majestic Lai Chau peaks" is expected to take place in 3 days with many special activities such as a night of art performances between Vietnam and China at Lai Chau People's Square with the coordination of Hong Ha Art Troupe (Yunnan Province, China) and Lai Chau Provincial Culture and Arts Center; Lai Chau Provincial Marathon 2024; cultural space of ethnic groups...
In particular, the space for introducing and promoting tourism at the Provincial People's Square has 21 booths. It is a place to display tourism promotion publications (leaflets, brochures, handbooks, tourist maps, photo books, souvenirs...), show video clips promoting tourist destinations; introduce OCOP products, typical agricultural products of 8 extended Northwestern provinces, Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi City, Da Nang City and Hong Ha District of Yunnan Province (China).
Lai Chau Tourism - Culture Week 2024 is a series of events to honor, promote and spread the values of local national identity; contribute to educating the tradition of patriotism, national pride, strengthening the strength of ethnic solidarity; raise awareness in the work of preserving and promoting the cultural identity of the Vietnamese community.
At the same time, it is also an opportunity to promote the image of Lai Chau tourism to a wide audience from all over the country; creating opportunities for travel businesses to learn, expand the market, and build tours to bring visitors to Lai Chau.
