On March 17, at Cam Ranh port, the Naval Region 4 Command coordinated with the Navy Political Department, Hanoi Photo Reporter Club, National Archives Center IV to organize the opening ceremony of the exhibition "Hoang Sa, Truong Sa - Fatherland at the forefront of the wave" and "Heroic Vietnam People's Navy - 70 years of journey to protect the sea".
This is an activity on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the liberation of the Truong Sa archipelago (April 29, 1975) and the 70th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Navy (May 7, 1955).

The exhibition displayed 200 documents, images, maps from the National Archives Center IV, the Vietnam Military History Museum, the Navy Museum and many collected documents from archives, national libraries of the US, France, etc.
In addition, for the first time, many documents about Hoang Sa have been published in the National Archives of Vietnam since the 19th century. Including Chau Van documents, Nguyen Dynasty's Moc Van documents, Hoang Sa images from the 1930s...
In particular, the exhibition also displays 50 press photos, taken by members of the Hanoi Photo Reporters Club from 2009 to present. 50 photos vividly depict Truong Sa archipelago from training in combat, daily life... of soldiers and people to the difficulties and hardships in the journey to preserve the sacred sovereignty of the sea and islands of the Fatherland.
Colonel Nguyen Huu Minh, Deputy Political Commissar of Naval Region 4, said that the exhibition is of special significance, and officers and soldiers of Naval Region 4 are eagerly waiting and welcoming this event.
The exhibition helps officers and soldiers in the whole region to better understand the meaning, great stature, great historical value of the Great Spring Victory of 1975 in general and the liberation of Truong Sa in particular.
The exhibition once again helps affirm Vietnam's sovereignty over the two archipelagos of Hoang Sa and Truong Sa; re-enacts the achievements of the Vietnam People's Navy in 70 years of building, fighting, winning, and moving straight to modernity; the achievements and feats of the Vietnam People's Navy, the army and people on the Truong Sa archipelago in liberating, building, and protecting the sovereignty of the sea, islands, and the sacred continental shelf of the Fatherland.
Through the exhibition, officers, soldiers and people firmly believe in and are proud of the glorious traditions of the nation, the Army and the Navy to successfully complete the task of protecting the sovereignty of the sacred sea, islands and continental shelf of the Fatherland.
