Opportunity to experience wildlife life at night

Saigon Zoo has just launched a special night tour program "When the Night Goes down". This is a new tourism product designed to bring visitors a unique experience of the world of wild animals in natural living conditions at night.

The tour takes place every Saturday night, between 7pm and 8pm and 9:15pm. The maximum number of participants is 20 guests/trip, with a minimum of 10 guests. Tourists from 10 to 65 years old can participate in the tour. The tour price is 200,000 VND.

Information from Saigon Zoo and Botanical Gardens said that the highlight of this program is giving visitors the opportunity to observe and experience the wildlife life at night in a realistic way.

Visitors will be able to observe game hunting species such as tigers, leopards, and crustaceans on their journey to find food as well as see the herbivores and water birds that are most active at night.

Not only stopping at observation, the program also creates conditions for visitors to interact with animals in the natural environment, helping them better understand the behavior and behavior of each species.

One of the attractive features of the trip is the opportunity to admire the phenomenon of animals' bright eyes in the dark - a special biological feature that helps them hunt for prey, adapting to low-light environments. This is a rare opportunity to explore animals at night that are difficult to observe during the day, bringing a unique and attractive experience of the natural world.

In particular, when visiting, visitors also have the opportunity to enjoy another corner of the night experience in the heart of the city, where the harmony between nature and urban space blends.

Ensuring animal safety

Talking to Lao Dong, Mr. Mai Khac Trung Truc - Director of the Animal Enterprise of Saigon Zoo and Botanical Gardens Company Limited said that the unit has observed and researched the characteristics of each animal species, and consulted scientific documents to assess the impact before deciding to organize a tour.

Regarding lighting, visitors are allowed to take photos according to the instructions of the tour guide. However, visitors did not use flashlights during the tour. Lamps installed in some cage spaces have light so that visitors can observe animals.

This regulation is to ensure the safety of animals, avoid causing panic or affecting their natural behavior. At the same time, maintain a realistic experience, not interrupting everyone's visit.

Regarding noise, the tour guide is not allowed to use a loudspeaker. The unit only selects areas with animals operating at night to organize tours, to avoid affecting animals operating during the day.

"The tour's operating time is about 1 hour; the time for tourists to stay in the cage location is not too long to avoid affecting the animals" - Mr. Truc said.

Saigon Zoo recommends that visitors wear long-sleeved clothes and shirts to avoid insects. Wear sneakers to easily move around and participate in outdoor activities. To join the tour, visitors must register 10 days in advance and complete the procedures 5 days in advance when participating in the program.
