On the afternoon of December 31st, the People's Committee of Hoi An Tay ward (Da Nang City) held a ceremony to receive the Thanh Ha Pottery Village Award as the "Best Community Tourist Spot" in 2025. This is a worthy recognition for the nearly 500-year journey of preserving and promoting the heritage values of the artisan community here.

Thanh Ha pottery village, with a history of formation of nearly half a millennium, has long become a vivid cultural entity associated with people, clay and the Thu Bon River. Without being fussy or ostentatious, Thanh Ha pottery conquers visitors with its rustic, simple and persistent style like the authenticity of the people of Central Vietnam.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Bui Van Dung, Chairman of Hoi An Tay Ward People's Committee, informed that the unique value of the craft village lies in the close connection between indigenous knowledge and manual labor. Amidst the current of modernity, artisans still persistently teach techniques, preserving each pottery shape as a way to preserve the cultural core of the heritage land.
We believe that Thanh Ha Pottery Village will not only be a place to visit but also a place for tourists to experience, feel and return. This award is a source of motivation for the Party Committee, government and people to continue on the path of professional and more sustainable development," Mr. Bui Van Dung affirmed.

In the past year, Thanh Ha Pottery Village has welcomed more than 251,000 visitors. Of which, international visitors accounted for more than 224,000. Since being recognized as a National Intangible Cultural Heritage in 2019, Thanh Ha Pottery Village has successfully implemented a living heritage model, where culture is not framed in museums but the breath of the craft village is still present in every house, every round table of artisans.
In the development space of Hoi An Tay ward (Da Nang City), this traditional craft village is identified as a key address in the cultural - craft village - ecotourism chain.
To promote the value of the award, in the coming time, the locality is committed to implementing many strategic orientations: Linking heritage preservation with improving livelihoods for artisans, completing tourist bridges, expanding environmentally friendly tourist spaces, and promoting the link between craft villages and eco-tourism and agricultural routes in the city.
