When storms and landslides occurred, Lao Cai Department of Tourism directed localities and the Provincial Tourism Association to support tourists and people in tasks such as postponing and canceling tourism services, supporting zero-dong buses, and organizing free meals and accommodation for accommodation establishments...
Lao Cai Department of Tourism has proposed many solutions to restore tourism activities in the province, such as investment plans for exhibitions of pictures and documents on storm prevention work No. 3, and research on experience tours combined with charity in villages that suffered heavy damage.

Tour to discover Sa Pa - City in the mist (3 days 2 nights). Guests travel by car, walk, explore villages, learn about the culture and customs of the ethnic people, and combine with volunteer activities. Tour to explore Bac Ha market - cruise on Chay River (3 days 2 nights). The tour takes guests to experience Chay River cruise, Hoang A Tuong Palace, Bac Ha Temple, Bac Ha market... do charity work, support disadvantaged students in Hoang Thu Pho, or Lung Phinh commune.

The number of visitors decreased sharply (down 72% compared to the week before the storm). Storm No. 3 affected the tourism industry's target. It is estimated that from now until the end of the year, there will be 7.5 million visitors, not reaching the target of 8.5 million as initially set.
