On May 22, information at the announcement of the 22nd Southern Fruit Festival 2026 event, representatives of Suoi Tien Tourist Area said that the event with the theme "Sounds of alluvium - Flow of origin - Continuing culture" with many new points will take place from May 31 to August 30.
The completely new highlight of the event is a series of night entertainment activities that appear for the first time to bring a continuous experience to visitors. The organizers will premiere the play "Son Tinh Thuy Tinh" staged with smoke and fire equipment, high-powered sound combined with cable car techniques to serve actors flying in the air. At the same time, the primary forest sub-area is also renovated into a "Fruit Light Road" with a network of artistic lights and unique models.
In addition to entertainment activities, this year's festival introduces the dish "Bo lua vuon Phuong Nam". The dish uses the main ingredient of fresh grilled beef tenderloin combined with 26 different types of fruits, aiming to establish a Vietnam Record for the title of dish using the most fruits.
According to the unit's sharing, the dish was born from the process of research, going all over the Mekong Delta to learn and experiment to ensure that the flavor layers (sweet, sour, fatty, fragrant) of 26 types of fruits blend together without being disparate or conflicting. At the festival, diners will enjoy tamarind ice specially mixed to make it "full flavor", promising to create unexpected emotional levels when enjoying.
In order to stimulate tourism demand, the organizers apply a policy of 100% free entrance tickets for children accompanying adults during International Children's Day June 1. In addition, the organizers also give away 2,000 entrance tickets to visitors wearing ao dai or ba ba shirts to participate in the festival as early as May 31.
