Lai Chau province will set off fireworks to celebrate the New Year from 10:00 PM to 10:15 PM on February 16, 2026 at Ho Ha Floating Island, Tan Phong ward.
In 15 minutes, the calm lake surface will light up, opening the bustling New Year's Eve in the Northwest mountains and forests.
Dien Bien: 3 fireworks locations, highlights at Muong Thanh bridge
Dien Bien organizes fireworks displays at 3 locations: Dien Bien Phu ward, Muong Lay ward and Tuan Giao commune.
In Dien Bien Phu ward, the firing point is located in the Muong Thanh bridge area, with a scale of 600 high-altitude fireworks and 120 low-altitude platforms, lasting 15 minutes from 0:00 to 0:15 on February 17, 2026 (the 1st day of Tet).
The remaining two locations in Tuan Giao commune and Muong Lay ward organize low-altitude fireworks displays for 15 minutes; the specific location is selected by the local government.

Son La: 4 low-altitude points, To Hieu alone 120 artillery batteries
Son La organizes low-altitude fireworks displays at 4 locations including To Hieu ward (old Son La city area), Moc Chau ward, Thuan Chau commune and Phu Yen commune.
Each firing point lasts from 15-20 minutes with 90 low-altitude fireworks displays; To Hieu ward alone has 120 fireworks displays, promising to create a prominent performance in the city center.

The entire Lao Cai province will set off fireworks at 0:00 at 11 locations, including: 19/8 Square and Yen Hoa Park (Yen Bai ward); Ho Chi Minh Park (Lao Cai ward); Cam Duong ward central area; Cang and Nghia Lo historical and cultural relic area; Dam Voi Park (Tran Yen commune); Luc Yen commune lakeside; Yen Binh commune square; Yen Bai Riverside urban area (Au Lau ward); Bao Thang commune center and Mau A commune center.

At 0:00 on February 17, 2026, Tuyen Quang will organize fireworks displays at 2 locations: Nguyen Tat Thanh Square - Tho Son Mountain area (Minh Xuan ward) and Cam Mountain area (Ha Giang 1 ward).

Phu Tho: 3 provincial-level points, many communes are allowed to fire at low altitude
Phu Tho has 3 high-altitude and low-altitude mixed fireworks display points organized by the provincial level on New Year's Eve at Van Lang Park pedestrian bridge (Viet Tri ward), Ho Chi Minh Square (Vinh Phuc ward) and Hoa Binh Square or Hoa Binh bridge (Hoa Binh ward).
