According to the plan issued on April 24, the fireworks display is expected to start from 8:10 PM on April 28, 2026 and last according to the program script. This is considered a special highlight in a series of cultural and artistic activities to celebrate major holidays at the end of April and the beginning of May.
Fireworks locations are arranged in the My Dinh National Stadium and F1 race track area (Tu Liem ward). Here, fireworks will be installed on the roof of stand B, while high-altitude and low-altitude fireworks will be deployed in the race track area, creating a multi-layered performance space, expanding the viewing range for the audience.

According to the plan, the scale of this fireworks display includes 900 high-altitude fireworks, 60 low-altitude fireworks displays and 60 fireworks displays in the form of flower sprayers. The combination of fireworks promises to bring an impressive lighting performance, synchronized with the artistic content of the program.
Fireworks display activities on the evening of April 28 are part of a series of events to celebrate the success of the election of National Assembly deputies of the 16th term, People's Council deputies at all levels for the 2026 - 2031 term; and also celebrate the 51st anniversary of the Liberation of the South, National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2026), the 140th anniversary of International Labor Day (May 1, 1886 - May 1, 2026), the 72nd anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu Victory (May 7, 1954 - May 7, 2026), the 136th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday (May 19, 1890 - May 19, 2026) and the 67th anniversary of the Ho Chi Minh Trail Opening Day, the Traditional Day of Truong Son Soldiers (May 19, 1959 - May 19, 2026).
With its large scale and profound political and cultural significance, the fireworks display in Hanoi on the evening of April 28 is expected to create a vibrant atmosphere, contributing to spreading national pride during the country's major holiday.
