In the waterfall area at the entrance to Terminal T2, Da Nang International Airport, the golden horse mascot welcoming the 2026 Binh Ngo spring stands out with a height of about 5m, sparkling with gold.
This is the latest work of artisan Dinh Van Tam (from Quang Tri) - who has caused a social media sensation for many years with tiger, cat, dragon mascots...
The golden horse mascot is shaped like a "horse angel" galloping powerfully, with a toned body with delicately crafted muscle lines, showing vitality and rising spirit.

The golden horse mascot is built on a solid load-bearing iron frame system. The most unique point of the project lies in the coating covering the outside with more than 60m2 of golden aluminum sheets. The entire shell is meticulously cut into about 150,000 small pieces and completely handcrafted.
This meticulousness creates a shimmering light reflection effect, helping the horse become radiant under natural sunlight and especially magical under the night airport lights.

Admiring the horse statue welcoming Spring 2026 in Da Nang, Mr. Van Phuc - a tourist from Quang Tri - excitedly shared: "This year's mascot is very majestic and fierce. Looking at the horse as if flying up, I feel a burning spirit, expressing the desire to rise up.
To complete this work, artisan Dinh Van Tam and his team of collaborators worked diligently continuously for more than a month. Nestled under the yellow horse are brilliant spring flowers competing to show off their colors.
The presence of the golden horse mascot is not just a decorative highlight for the landscape. This project also sends wishes for an energetic start, a peaceful new year to all passengers when setting foot in Da Nang during the 2026 Binh Ngo Tet holiday.
