On May 20, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Khanh Hoa province said that it had a report on the organization of the Khanh Hoa Sea Festival 2026.
The event is themed "Colors of the Ocean - International reach". Support activities will take place from July 10 to August 10, registered by units, localities and businesses inside and outside the province.
The highlight of the Festival is the opening ceremony with the theme "Colors of the Ocean - International reach", taking place on the evening of July 17th at April 2nd Square.
Next is the Carnival festival - flower car parade with the theme "Nha Trang Sea Flowers", held on the afternoon of July 18. On the same evening of July 18, the final of Supermodel and Mister Vietnam 2026 will take place, combined with fashion and music performances with the theme "Runway to the World - Step out into the world".
The closing ceremony and international music festival "Connecting the Five Worlds - Unite the Continents" with the theme "Khanh Hoa arms of five-continent friends" will take place on the evening of July 19.
According to the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, in the coming time, the unit will focus on appraising the capacity of the consulting unit to advise the Provincial People's Committee to select contractors to participate in Festival activities.
At the same time, build a budget estimate for events, advise on the establishment of the Organizing Committee and sub-committees to serve the Khanh Hoa Sea Festival in 2026.
Standing Vice Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Long Bien emphasized that Khanh Hoa Sea Festival 2026 is a particularly important event, the locality is determined to organize it successfully, create a strong impression and ensure the progress and quality of activities.
Leaders of the Provincial People's Committee requested the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to specifically review each activity and event to organize them to ensure scale, quality and efficiency. In which, the opening ceremony, Carnival festival and closing night must be carefully prepared to show the scale and class of the event.
In addition, the department needs to urgently complete the necessary procedures to soon advise the Provincial People's Committee to issue relevant documents; pay attention to inviting international guests and foreign art troupes to participate in the Festival.
In promotional activities, Khanh Hoa province will focus on introducing typical products of the Cham people, and at the same time expand the promotion of typical cultural and tourism products of localities in the province.
