The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Food Safety has conducted surprise inspections at 27 restaurants and establishments selling pork intestines and meat accessories, including Long Chat Quan business household (in 268 Hong Lac, Ward 11, Tan Binh District).
At the time of inspection, this establishment declared that it was not trading in "cigarette cars" but only sold pork intestines (pork intestines). After that, the inspection team took pig intestine samples to test for food safety indicators such as lead (Pb), welding (boric acid, borate), formol. The test results did not detect any toxic substances.

However, the facility was fined more than VND6.7 million for violating regulations on food safety. Specifically, the place to store dry food has signs of harmful insects (discovering firecrackers); processing staff do not wear masks, do not use gloves, do not cut nails; the kitchen area does not ensure the separation between raw and cooked food.
At the same time, this facility used materials of unknown origin, without valid invoices or documents for input materials.
After paying the fine, the restaurant was forced to destroy the ingredients of unknown origin.
When information about the sanctions spread on social networks, the restaurant representative spoke up to affirm that "it does not import Chinese goods, does not produce counterfeit goods, does not soak in chemicals".
The restaurant representative said that they have completed and immediately added shortcomings such as letting employees wear hats, gloves, and masks; sweeping the processing and preservation area; preventing the cooking area in the kitchen; closing the doors; adding valid invoices and sticking product labels.
Previously, during an inspection by Hanoi authorities at the facility on Tran Thai Tong Street, Dich Vong Hau Ward, the restaurant owner admitted that the "favorite" pet set spread on social networks was introduced to be 40m long, but in fact it was only over 20m long.
Recently, Long Chat Quan's business establishments in Hanoi have been operating at a low level. The facility in Ho Chi Minh City has been closed since the end of May.
