After only 30-40 minutes of heavy rain, many roads and neighborhoods in the center of Moc Chau were heavily flooded such as Thao Nguyen ward, To Hieu ward, Moc Son ward... This is an area with many restaurants and eateries, near tourist destinations in Moc Chau.
Heavy rain and water from the hillsides poured down onto the road, making it difficult for vehicles and people to travel. In many areas, strong water flows combined with steep terrain have washed away furniture, motorbikes, etc.
Quang Kien, a tourism worker in Moc Chau, said that in previous years, there were light flooding but the water receded quickly.
However, this year, the recent storm No. 10 and the current storm circulation of storm No. 11 have affected, the amount of rain was too heavy and the continuous rain, many tourist attractions were flooded. Many tourists have to postpone or cancel their Moc Chau tours.
The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Son La informed that tourists in tourist areas, destinations or accommodation establishments are advised to limit travel, depending on weather developments and warning information.

In Muong Bu commune, heavy rain caused traffic jams due to landslides on the positive slope at km80+250, with a length of 60m in Mon village and Km82+600, with a length of 100 m, depth of 0.8 m, in sub-zone 2; km84+500 in Gian village.
At Km80+300 National Highway 279D, the section passing through Muong Bu commune experienced a landslide with an estimated volume of about 20,000m3.
