In recent days, the plum garden in Nam Ngam A village, Pu Nhi commune, Dien Bien Dong district, Dien Bien province, has become a popular tourist destination. With the plum blossoms blooming white, visitors from all over the country flock here to take photos and capture beautiful moments during the New Year.
About 20 km from the center of Dien Bien Phu City, the plum garden in Nam Ngam A village has only about 30 plum trees but has become a tourist attraction. Although the garden is not too large, visitors still jostle each other to get the best photos.
Nguyen Lan Nhi (24 years old, Thanh Xuong commune, Dien Bien district) - said: "Taking advantage of the afternoon, my friends and I came here to take pictures. This is the first time I have seen plum blossoms blooming in Dien Bien as beautifully as this. Seeing my friends posting photos on social networks, I also wanted to have a beautiful photo set, so I rented a costume for 200,000 VND".
Knowing this place through the social network TikTok, Nguyen Vu Yen Nhi (16 years old, Him Lam ward, Dien Bien Phu city) - said: "My friends and I rode motorbikes from home to here, the scenery on the way is very beautiful. Plum blossoms are in full bloom, it is really worth checking in".
Talking to Lao Dong, Mr. Lo Van Tinh - the owner of the plum garden, said that since the 29th of Lunar New Year, his plum garden has welcomed many tourists to take pictures. About 30 plum trees are in full white bloom, contributing to the beautiful scenery here.
"The flowers bloom right on Tet so there are a lot of visitors. Every year when the flowers bloom before Tet, few people come to take pictures. This year I was surprised to see so many tourists," said Mr. Tinh.
According to Mr. Tinh, because he does not do business and wants to create conditions for people and tourists to come and enjoy spring, taking photos in the garden is completely free. Plum flowers only bloom for about 1-2 weeks, then the flowers fade, the tree begins to nourish the nutrients to produce fruit.
Mr. Tinh said that his family is planning to plant more plum trees to turn this place into an ideal stopover for tourists. “The view here is very beautiful, and it is close to Pu Nhi Lake, so I think it will attract more visitors,” he said.
In addition, Na Tau commune is located 30km from the center of Dien Bien Phu city, which is the place with the largest plum growing area in Dien Bien province with more than 20 hectares. With proper attention and investment, the plum gardens here promise to become one of the attractive tourist destinations in the future.
